It was a year of tumult and change in the Dallas art world, with directors and curators coming and going and an exotic guest showing up in October with all the fanfare, of, well, a king. "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs" was the most ballyhooed exhibition of the year, with Bonnie Pitman, the new director of the Dallas Museum of Art, taking a calculated risk with her first major show.
